Kuala Lumpur: An inaugural AFC National Security Officer Seminar commenced in the Malaysian capital city on Tuesday, which was organised as part of the Competition Education Courses 2017 series aimed at preparing officials for the next season.

A total of 39 participants attended the programme which touched on various topics such as stadiums and security requirements, incidents overview, history and evolution of the integrated approach to safety, security and services, stadium infrastructures and safety management.

UEFA Head of Stadium and Security Marc Timmer and staff from the AFC were presenters at the workshop which aims to ensure that safety and security is a priority throughout Asian football.
